SkyReach has identified a significant gap in resource allocation for rural first responders, specifically with drone technology. The premis of drone technology was to bring increased speed to the response setting. However, the only individuals able to afford to fully integrate this technology are wealthy urban departments when the departments that could serve from increased access and speed are those in a rural setting. Oklahoma is a perfect location for this due to the prospective growth in aviation related technologies, existing close ties with the FAA and regulatory bodies, and the vast wide open space found in the state.
SkyReach has officially launched its Proof of Concept in partnership with eight fire departments across Noble County. This milestone marks the first step in demonstrating how BVLOS drone technology can boost rural emergency response through faster scene awareness, safer operations, and smarter support for the field.
